Software Tester

Position Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing and analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects, bugs, and performance issues.
• Defect Tracking and Reporting:
  • Document and track defects using bug tracking tools.
  • Work closely with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and ensure comprehensive defect resolution.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that software products meet functional, performance, and user experience requirements.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not affected by new changes.
• Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and design effective test strategies.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve software quality and user experience.
• Test Automation:
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks.
  • Continuously enhance and optimize the automation suite for better coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Software Tester or in a similar quality assurance role.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
